The Quad

The Quad is a 298.2 sqm complex villa in Batu Mejan, Bali, developed on a compact 302.7 sqm site. Designed in a Balinese tropical modern style, the project responds to the demands of a rental property by combining efficient planning, memorable architectural character, and a comfortable guest experience.

The primary challenge was to accommodate six villa units within a limited footprint while maintaining privacy, natural light, and cross ventilation for each unit. An efficient open-plan layout allows the site to perform beyond its scale, creating comfortable spaces without compromising the desired occupancy. Each villa is carefully positioned to maintain a sense of privacy while remaining connected to the tropical environment.

Externally, the individual units are composed into one cohesive architectural expression. Natural Sumba stone and Bengkirai wood dominate the façade, reinforcing its tropical identity, while floating box elements introduce a contemporary character. The material palette was intentionally selected for both visual warmth and construction efficiency.

Through compact planning and a strong tropical material language, The Quad transforms a limited site into a memorable hospitality destination designed for modern tropical living.
